The main difference between the one-piece ball valve, the two-piece ball valve and the three-piece ball valve is whether the valve body adopts an integral structure or a split structure. They can be processed by steel pipe or precision casting, with a relatively small shape and low material cost. The one-piece ball valve with a steel pipe body has also become a Guangzhou type ball valve. Because the one-piece ball valve body adopts an integral structure, the ball core can only be loaded from one side during assembly, so the ball body is smaller than the two-piece ball valve and the three-piece ball valve. At the same time, the flow channel should be smaller, and the standard reduced diameter structure is adopted. Since the flow resistance of the ball valve is very small, the effect of the reduced diameter structure on the fluid is not great.
The biggest advantage of the one-piece ball valve is to effectively prevent the medium from leaking out of the valve body. Both the two-piece ball valve and the three-piece ball valve use bolts to connect the separate valve bodies into one body, and there are sealing gaskets between the valve bodies for sealing. One-piece threaded ball valve is usually suitable for medium with low pressure due to the weak seal of the stem. When the pressure is high, two-piece threaded ball valve or three-piece threaded ball valve should be selected.
